After we’d completed Travelodge projects in Southampton and Weston Super Mare, Developer CHG Holdings recently awarded DNA the contract to create a 76-bedroom hotel at the new Andover Business Park, providing a welcome facility for surrounding businesses and travellers.

We constructed the hotel using a timber frame, finished with a mixture of render and cedar cladding. The fit-out includes bathroom pods manufactured off-site, and a range of finishes to match and complement the Travelodge brand. We applied careful sourcing and design every step of the way to ensure the building achieved the required BREEAM Very Good status, and completed the project on time and within budget – ultimately receiving special congratulations from the Travelodge New Openings team for our smooth and efficient handover.

Alongside construction, DNA worked under the Considerate Constructors banner to champion community engagement at every stage, which reflects our core business objectives. For example, we worked with the neighbouring nursery school, where the youngsters kindly agreed to help decorate our hoarding. We’ve entered their artistic endeavours into the Considerate Constructors hoarding competition, where their talents will surely be acknowledged.
